For years, liquid applied coatings and linings have been selected to protect concrete from chemical attack.

While most systems have adequate chemical resistance, they usually require regular maintenance because they crack when concrete cracks or moves and they degrade when subjected to UV radiation.

In 1995, MRC introduced Marseal® corrosion resistant linings which are flexible sheet membranes that are surface adhered to concrete to create a seamless bathtub. Unlike liquids, Marseal will not crack when concrete cracks or moves and is virtually unaffected by UV radiation.
